Animal Scupture

Participants will learn the basics of creating a ceramic sculpture of an animal of their choice. The course will cover design inspiration, using templates, tools, armature as well as size limitations, settings. It may be necessary to throw or hand building parts, create surface textures, body parts. Other topics covered to complete piece are glazing or underglazing, drying and firing in a kiln. Participants should bring a small spray water bottle, and several drawings of the animal or piece they wish to sculpt.
